Drawing influence from Northwest greats, Animism is equal parts Built to Spill, Pond and Dinosaur Jr with the soft Portland swell almost exclusive to the local musical climate while building to great crescendos packed with anthemic lyrics and delayed out post rock climaxes. Animism embody everything great about the Northwest's influential amalgam of equal parts giant and minimal and Casey Montgomery's voice carries it all through, maintaining calm through the chaos.
